Liberia Welcomes Okadamotto: VP Koung Launches First Motorbike Uber-Style Service

Paynesville – Liberia's Vice President, H.E. Jeremiah Kpang-Koung, has officially launched Okadamotto Liberia, the country’s first motorbike Uber-style transportation and delivery service. The innovative service promises safe, fast, and affordable motorbike rides and delivery solutions for Liberians.

Speaking at the launch event held Tuesday at the Paynesville City Hall, VP Koung highlighted the significance of safety and unity in Liberia’s transportation sector.

“I want to say thank you to Okadamotto for coming to Liberia to help improve the cyclist sector and provide security for both passengers and riders. By the authority vested in me as Vice President of Liberia, I hereby launch Okadamotto for prosperity, security, and growth for the motorcyclist sector,” Koung stated.

The Vice President also commended motorcyclists for their critical role in connecting communities, especially in Liberia’s rural areas. He encouraged them to embrace saving, professional growth beyond cycling, and fostering unity to establish a robust motorcyclists' union.

Dr. Mohammed Sumaila, CEO of Okadamotto, outlined the company’s mission to enhance safety and professionalism in Liberia’s motorbike transportation sector. He noted that Okadamotto aims to reduce accidents and criminal incidents involving motorbikes while providing a reliable and efficient service for passengers.

“Our riders undergo rigorous training to ensure safety, excellent customer service, and proper equipment handling,” Dr. Sumaila emphasized.

Justice Minister N. Oswald Tweh also recognized the vital role motorcyclists play in Liberia's transport system. He pledged collaboration with the motorcyclists’ union to implement regulations that prioritize safety and protect the lives and property of all citizens.

The launch of Okadamotto marks a transformative step for Liberia’s transportation sector, bringing modernized, secure, and professional motorbike services to the nation.
