Jaden Philogene has shared his reasons for joining Ipswich Town during the January transfer window.

The Tractor Boys secured a £20 million deal for the winger from Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, less than seven months after he returned to Villa following a standout season with Hull City in the Championship.

Ipswich had shown interest in Philogene during the summer but finally completed the transfer this month.

"I picked Ipswich because I know they have great players," Philogene explained. "I know some of them off the pitch as well.

"I want to get in and play as many games as possible. Get my head down and work hard to be the best player I can be.

"You [Ipswich] don't look like a team that has just been promoted."
