Afrobeat musician Stunna changes his name to "Stunn"
Lourell Andymark George, an RNB, Afropop, and Afrobeat musician from Liberia, formerly known as Stunna, has changed his stage name to Stunn preferable.
As part of his most recent rebranding, Stunna, as he was affectionately known by his followers and supporters, says changing his name from Stunna to Stunn is one of the brave moves he took to pursue his musical career as intended.
Stunn claims that the majority of the factors influencing this new name change have more to do with his musical career and the countries where he plans to take his music on an international scale.
Instead of Stunna, I would prefer the name "Stunn" (with a double "n"). After giving it some thought, I've decided to choose the name Stunn since it best describes my upcoming musical phase. In addition, stunn means extraordinary, and my upcoming musical phase will be extraordinary, he added.
The RNB hitmaker is an important part of the Aeg Group and a managing partner of the 50/50 Entertainment record label, run by CEO Barcolleh Poronpyae, also known as Pumpaye. This record label has been very successful in establishing a name for itself and elevating the perception of Liberian music on a global scale.
He has gotten high praise from Ghanaian-Netherlandic musician Smallgod, who has hailed him as Liberia's upcoming biggest musical star.
One of the most popular musicians in Liberia, Stunn has received numerous honors including RNB Artist of the Year 2018 (Tunes Liberia), MLMA Afropop Artist of the Year 2020, and MLMA Video of the Year 2021.
His hit songs include "Baby o," "Mr. Right," and "For Life," and his most recent single, "Green Light," is currently creating waves across the continent.
